Charles, a native Californian, is a co-founding partner for Gray, Proctor & McMannis. Beginning his career as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service and an accounting instructor at Saddleback Community College, Charles obtained his CPA certification in 1980 when he entered into the public accounting arena.
Charles' broad range of tax and accounting knowledge includes estate planning, retirement planning and business management consulting; including mergers & acquisitions and preparation of operating projections, forecasts and budgets. His many years of experience in individual, corporate, partnership, trust & estate tax consulting, preparation and audit representation makes Charles a very diversified practitioner.
Charles holds a BA in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton and an MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He is currently a member of the General and Tax divisions of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Orange County-Long Beach Chapter of CPA Society, as well as the Orange County Estate Planning Council.
